The summer school is an excellent opportunity for you to further develop your methodological and conceptual skills in the field of European Studies, so that you are able to apply these in your future research projects, especially in preparation for your MA thesis. It is a unique opportunity for students in the joint MA program to meet their peers as well as faculty from the different partner universities and share their experiences during the first year.
The program, organized in cooperation with the Erasmus Mundus Global Studies Consortium, includes methodological and MA Thesis workshops, special sessions with alumni, and an excursion to “Point Alpha.” This former U.S. Army observation post at the erstwhile inner-German border has been turned into a museum and offers today an impressive starting point to reflect on the challenges of European transformations, past and present, in local, regional and global contexts.
