A hybrid event on 2 October brought together the new students who start as the second generation in the Arqus Joint Master in European Studies. Representatives of all four partner universities cordially welcomed the new group. Prof. Ana María García Campaña (Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Continuing Education, University of Granada), Prof. Mireille van Poppel (Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Equal Opportunities, University of Graz), Prof. Matthias Middell (Vice-Rector for Internationalization, University of Leipzig) and Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas (Rector, University of Vilnius) underlined the uniqueness and ambition which this transnational MA program stands out for. They were joined by the local coordinators and academic directors as well as students from the first generation in the Arqus Joint Master, who enthusiastically reflected about their first year experiences. Out of the 50 newly enrolled students from all over Europe and the world in the consortium, 20 will start their first term in Leipzig and from there onwards embark on a journey of virtual and physical mobility across Europe.
