Study organisation means above all: self-organisation. You don’t have to do this alone, though.
In addition to the academic advisors and the faculty's helpdesk, other help and advice centers at the University of Leipzig are at your side.
Below, you will find a collection of forms for various administrative matters relating to your studies.
Questions about the general organisation of studies at the Institute for Political Science, internships, Erasmus, change of study program, module registration, etc. can be answered by the study advisor Daniel Schmidt.
For the master's program European Integration in East Central Europe, please contact Benjamin Horvath.
The exam board is responsible for the recognition of credits earned outside of the university as well as for the classification of students who change their course of study or place of study. It also decides on appeals against examination decisions, cases of plagiarism, and similar conflicts. You can submit corresponding applications via the study advisor.
Daniel Schmidt's office hours are offered by phone and in person (Tuesday, 12pm-1pm; Wednesday, 11am-12pm). Please be sure to book a slot using the appointment tool. Sometimes consultations take a little longer than 12 minutes. If the line is busy, try again a short time later.
Helpdesk of the Faculty
If you have questions about module registration or other practical issues, please contact the Helpdesk. There, you will be advised by fellow students. Please note the information in the Small Guide for Students: Kleiner Ratgeber für Studierende.
STUDY BARRIER-FREE
For students with impairments, the Commissioner for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses offers professional counseling and support.
If you have difficulties in achieving your study goals due to psychological, psychosocial, or physical impairments or chronic illnesses, you can submit an informal application for disadvantage compensation to the exam board (if necessary, after consultation with the student advisor). In principle, students have a duty to cooperate.
