119 applications were received this year for this years‘ intake of the master program in Communication Management. This means that demand for the course is not only at a consistently high level, but is once again significantly higher than the number of places available. Due to the high number of applicants from Germany and abroad, a two-stage selection process with personal interviews was carried out at the institute, as in previous years, which has now been completed.
A total of 30 students were admitted. The new Master's students have completed their Bachelor's degrees at 16 different universities and universities of applied sciences in Berlin, Bremen, Chemnitz, Düsseldorf, Erfurt, Hohenheim, Jena, Leipzig, Mannheim, Munich, Münster, Osnabrück, Salzburg, Wilhelmshaven and Würzburg. The high proportion of female students (83%) is in line with the long-term trend. The diverse backgrounds and professional experience of the new Masterclass promise a productive and creative working atmosphere.
The program starts on October 8, 2024 with an introductory class. Lectures and seminars will then begin on October 14. Students can expect a challenging full-time program in which the latest knowledge on strategic communication is taught. In addition to the various facets of communication management, the course also covers financial communication and non-profit communication, for example. Research transfer projects with well-known organizations and international modules with renowned guest lecturers from abroad will broaden their horizons.
