Abstract
Heinz Leitgöb is interim professor of Sociology and Methodology at Leipzig University.
His research focuses on quantitative methods, in particular statistical modelling, survey methodology, comparative research, digital social research, and computational social science. His substantive research interests cover deviant behavior and crime.
Leitgöb received his doctorate from JKU Linz (Austria) in 2016 and worked at the Universities of Linz, Erlangen-Nuremberg, Frankfurt and Eichstätt-Ingolstadt before joining Leipzig University.
Leitgöb chairs the section "Methods of Empirical Social Research" of the German Sociological Association, represents the section in the Deutschen Arbeitsgemeinschaft Statistik, coordinates the "European Working Group on Quantitative Methods in Criminology" of the European Society of Criminology, and is editor of the "European Association of Methodology Book Series" at Routledge.
