Abstract
Janine Kläge studied Cultural Studies, French and African History and Culture at the Leipzig University with studies abroad at the University of Avignon I. After graduation she entered the DFG-funded Priority Programme 1448 „Adaptation and Creativity in Africa” (2011-2016) in which her research project on the Cameroonian State was integrated. Doing the PhD she attended the International PhD Program "Regionalisation and Transnationalization from the 18th Century to the Present" at the Research Academy Leipzig in 2011. In this context, she has completed her PhD, focusing on the perception of the state in Cameroon.
