Julia Tuppat, born in 1986, is a junior professor for Microsociology with a Focus on Health at the Institute for Sociology at Leipzig University. Previous academic stations included the University of Hohenheim (Junior Professor for Social Structure and Social Inequality), Freie Universität Berlin and the Goethe University in Frankfurt. After studying in Cologne and London, she received her doctorate in 2018 with a thesis on social inequality, health and educational success at Goethe University, Frankfurt.
