Abstract

Svantje Guinebert studied philosophy, French, and education at Saarland University from 2001-2009 as well as French literature and linguistics at the Université Paul Valéry, Montpellier III from 2002-2003. She worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Bremen, where she received her doctorate in 2017 with a dissertation on the self-ascription of final authority. The thesis was supervised by Dagmar Borchers (Univ. Bremen), Elijah Millgram (Univ. of Utah) and Susanne Boshammer (Univ. Osnabrück) and published by mentis in 2018 under the title "Hörigkeit als Selbstboykott. Eine philosophische Studie zu Autorität, Selbstkonstitution und Autonomie". Since 04/2021 she is lecturer at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Leipzig.

Her research interests lie in existential philosophy, moral reasoning, the philosophy of humour and philosophy didactics.
